This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Manufacturing Technician, Composites to join the Manufacturing, Assembly, Integration, and Testing (MAIT) team at a leading company in aerospace innovation.
The RoleAs a Manufacturing Technician, Composites, you will manufacture fibre-based components, including carbon fibre, glass fibre, and aramid fibre materials. You'll also produce simple tooling, moulds, and patterns from epoxy and foam-based materials, supporting the assembly of high-precision hardware.
Key Skills and Experience:- Experience in the assembly of precision components.
- Practical experience in composites manufacturing, particularly in aerospace applications.
- Ability to process fibre-based materials through material layup, resin impregnation, VARTM, or Autoclave-based curing methods, followed by finishing processes.
- Strong understanding of detailed drawings, tolerances, surface finishes, and materials.
- Practical knowledge of MAIT procedures, such as functional testing, electrical bonding, vibration, shock, and thermal testing.
- Hands-on experience with assembly procedures, ensuring precision and quality.
