About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Buyer to join our Buying Team at Poundland & Dealz. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for purchasing and supplying all products within the Grocery category.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in buying and a proven track record of success in leading, coaching, and developing teams. You will be responsible for cultivating and nurturing relationships with suppliers to ensure we can offer customers amazing products at an amazing value.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Purchasing and supply of all products within the category from conception to the bottom line
  • Ensuring products are in line with current and future trends
  • Negotiating costs and delivery timescales in line with company budget and KPIs
  • Visiting factories to develop ranges, negotiate the cost of goods, and exploring new markets in developing countries/economies
  • Liaising with Merchandisers on the sourcing of product that meets promotional and seasonal activity
