About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Duty Manager to join our team at GLL. As a Duty Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our leisure centre, ensuring that all facilities and equipment are maintained to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the opening and closing procedures of the leisure centre, including unlocking and securing the premises.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff members, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the centre, including the gym, pool, and other facilities.
- Handle customer queries and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
- Assist with the preparation and implementation of events and activities, such as fitness classes and sports tournaments.
- Collaborate with other departments, including management and maintenance, to ensure that all aspects of the centre's operations are running smoothly.
- Conduct regular inspections of the centre to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as necessary.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role or in a customer-facing environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety procedures and protocols.
