We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Practitioner of English to join our team at West Suffolk Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

This is a permanent, full-time position with a competitive salary of £46,148 to £60,504 per annum, pro rata, and the opportunity for progression.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work in acute medicine, practicing as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner using a high degree of autonomy and complex decision making to assess, investigate, diagnose, plan, implement, manage, and evaluate clinical nursing and medical care in the management of patients.

Key responsibilities include working in partnership with patients, families, and carers to support individual wellbeing and life, participating in audit, clinical governance, and other clinical meetings to improve care quality, and exercising professional judgement to manage risk appropriately.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Registered healthcare professional with Level 6 degree and willingness to work towards advanced practice qualification at Level 7.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development, including teaching, supervision, and assessment skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team, prioritising clinical workload and assessing associated risks.
  • Demonstrated implementation of research into practice and ability to undertake required clinical duties/procedures.
Experience and Knowledge
  • Significant post-qualification experience in a relevant clinical field, with a considerable amount of time spent as a fully qualified healthcare professional.
  • Ability to respond to, prioritise, and analyse health conditions, ensuring effective interventions are actioned in a timely manner.
  • Ability to deal effectively with clinical issues within defined procedures and guidelines.
