Specialist Education Support Worker

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Specialist Education Support Worker to join our team at NHS England.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in supporting students with special educational needs, particularly those with Learning Difficulties and/or Disabilities (LDD) and Autism.
This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with our tutors in delivering bespoke Employability training and functional skills to interns within the Choices College Supported Internship programme.
About the Role
- Supporting the delivery of sessions in a classroom setting, maintaining individual records for each student that meet inspection requirements.
- Providing targeted support outside of the classroom, such as intern placements.
- Working on differentiated activities with groups of students.
- Liaising with the tutor to deliver SEN provision.
- Supporting the development of social/emotional skills of the students.
- Working with tutors to monitor progress of pupils.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning.
- Qualifications to include GCSE/Functional Skills in English Language, NVQ/QCF, ECDL or equivalent level of knowledge.
- A strong understanding of a variety of special educational needs required for the Choices College students.
- Experience of working in a classroom supporting students with qualifications ranging from entry level 1 - level 2.
- Experience of working with students who have Special Educational Needs.
- Working knowledge of MS office packages.

This role will be based in various sites across the Teesside area, requiring a full driver's license and access to a vehicle.
