Job Title: Graphic Design Educator

Job Duties:
  • Design and deliver engaging graphics lessons to students, utilizing innovative teaching strategies to enhance student understanding.
  • Evaluate and provide constructive feedback on student work to support their learning and development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in departmental meetings to develop the curriculum and implement effective teaching practices.
  • Supervise and support students in practical design projects, fostering a collaborative and inclusive learning environment.
Required Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Degree in Graphic Design or a related field
  • Proficient in graphic design software and techniques, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Education:

Degree in Graphic Design or a related field, with a strong foundation in design principles and techniques.

Experience:

Prior experience teaching graphics or related subjects is preferred, with an ideal candidate having an Art-related Degree and experience teaching in post-16 education.

Previous experience in the Graphics industry is advantageous, but not essential.

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite
  • Understanding of design principles and techniques, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Postgraduate certificate in Education (PGCE)
  • Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds, with a commitment to inclusivity and diversity.
Working Conditions:
  • Work in a school setting with access to classrooms and design studios, with full-time hours and a temporary position.
  • Collaborative work environment with other teaching staff, with opportunities for professional development and growth.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
