Principal Civil Engineer

We are seeking an exceptional Principal Civil Engineer to provide leadership within our Water team in Glasgow. Our consultancy client offers a collaborative working environment and the chance to work on interesting projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Water team in Glasgow, providing technical expertise and guidance to team members.
  • Develop and implement flood protection design, water supply, and river modeling solutions.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Manage projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
Requirements:
  • Chartered Engineer status, with membership in ICE or CIWEM.
  • A minimum of 8 years' experience in civil engineering, with a strong background in water management.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with experience in team leadership and mentorship.
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills, with the ability to present complex information to clients and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with DMRB, Scottish Water, and other national design standards.
  • Expertise in MicroDrainage, Causeway, InfoDrainage, Civils3D, and BIM tools.
