We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Neuropsychologist to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a Principal Neuropsychologist in Stroke, you will be responsible for leading our neuropsychology service in the hyper-acute and acute stroke units at the Princess Royal University Hospital.
Main Responsibilities- Provide professional and clinical supervision to clinical psychologists and trainee clinical psychologists, ensuring direct lines of governance for existing staff.
- Offer advice, consultation, training, and supervision to staff working with the client group, including developing and monitoring neuropsychological treatment programmes within a multidisciplinary context.
- Implement effective clinical governance procedures, staying up-to-date with local and national policies and guidelines relevant to acute and outpatient stroke care.
- Ensure the effectiveness of interventions is consistently monitored and evaluated, reporting information in a timely manner.
- Communicate patient assessment and treatment information effectively, preparing high-standard clinical documentation.

Person Specification- Doctoral level qualification in clinical psychology.
- HCPC registered clinical psychologist.
- Significant post-doctoral experience working in an acute neuropsychology setting, particularly in stroke.
- Experience of professional line management of qualified and pre-qualified clinical psychologists in a neuropsychology setting.
