About the Role

We are seeking an Expert Neuropsychologist in Stroke Care Leadership to join our team. As a key member of our neuropsychology service, you will provide clinical expertise in neuropsychological rehabilitation and leadership for our stroke units at the Princess Royal University Hospital.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide professional and clinical supervision and line management to clinical (neuro) psychologists and trainee clinical psychologists, ensuring direct lines of governance for existing staff.
  • Advise, consult, train, and supervise staff working with clients affected by stroke, providing expert guidance on neuropsychological care.
  • Monitor achievement of targets related to clinical activity, strategic objectives, and clinical developments, working closely with the Head of Neuropsychological Rehabilitation to ensure effective communication and high-calibre working practices.
  • Implement appropriate and effective clinical governance procedures, staying up-to-date with local and national policies and guidelines relevant to acute and outpatient stroke care.
  • Ensure effectiveness of interventions is consistently monitored and evaluated, reporting information in a timely manner.
  • Communicate patient assessment and treatment information effectively, preparing high-quality clinical documentation.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Doctoral level qualification in Clinical Psychology and HCPC registration as a Clinical Psychologist.
  • Significant post-doctoral experience (4+ years) working within an acute neuropsychology setting, particularly in stroke care.
  • Experience of professional line management of qualified and pre-qualified Clinical Psychologists in a neuropsychology setting.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Salary

The estimated salary for this role is £70,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
