About the Role

Responsibilities
  • To work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive assessments and treatment plans for children and adolescents with mental health needs.
  • To lead clinical audits and implement evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes.
  • To participate in research and service evaluation to enhance our understanding of mental health issues and inform service development.
  • To contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and guidelines that support the delivery of high-quality CAMHS.
  • To provide leadership and guidance to junior staff members, promoting professional growth and development within the team.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualities and qualifications:

  • A medical qualification (MBBS or equivalent) and full registration with the GMC.
  • At least four years of postgraduate training in the UK or equivalent medical experience, including two years in psychiatry.
  • Excellent knowledge of child and adolescent mental health, with a minimum of six months' experience in CAMHS.
  • Strong clinical skills, using a bio-psycho-social perspective and wide medical knowledge.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage clinical complexity and uncertainty.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and participation in clinical audit, research, and service evaluation.
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is expected to be around £110,000 - £140,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including:
