About the Role:


We are recruiting for an experienced substantive Specialty Doctor to join our Wakefield CAMHS team at Airedale Health Centre. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring our patients receive the care they need.


Main Responsibilities:



  • To work in an experienced team of professionals to ensure all patients receive high-quality care
  • To be an integral part of the Psychiatry pathway and contribute to the development of our services
  • To participate in clinical leadership and decision-making
  • To deliver undergraduate or postgraduate teaching and training
  • To participate in continuous professional development and research or service evaluation

Person Specification:



  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
  • Fully registered with the GMC and have a licence to practise
  • At least 4 years postgraduate training in the UK or equivalent medical experience, including 2 years in psychiatry
  • 6 months experience in CAMHS psychiatry
  • Excellent knowledge in specialty and clinical skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • Able to manage clinical complexity and uncertainty
