We are seeking an experienced Catering Assistant to join our team at Holroyd Howe, a leading contract caterer providing fresh, innovative food services to independent schools and colleges.

The ideal candidate will have a background in exceptional food catering services and be passionate about creating delicious dining experiences that fuel young minds and ignite taste buds.

This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Catering Assistant to make a name for themselves within the food service industry and be a part of setting the new standard for education catering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and serving of lunch and snacks according to established menus and recipes.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the front of house and kitchen areas, including organizing dishes and utensils.
  • Follow proper food handling and storage procedures to ensure food safety and prevent contamination.
  • Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies and notify management of any shortages or discrepancies.
  • Provide friendly and efficient service to students and staff during mealtimes, addressing any concerns or special dietary needs.
  • Participate in training sessions and meetings related to food service procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards.

Requirements:

  • Experience working within education catering is ideal.
  • Good Health & Safety knowledge is essential.
  • Flexible with a can-do attitude, customer-focused, and enthusiastic.
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
  • A team player with a strong work ethic.
