Climate Tech Venture Capital and Private Equity Analyst

We are seeking a talented and highly motivated individual to join our Technology & Innovation team at BloombergNEF (BNEF) to develop unique insights, data, and analytical tools that help our clients navigate the opportunities and challenges across the energy transition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build datasets, tools, and analysis on the climate-tech venture capital and private equity markets.
  • Conduct independent research, identify topics of interest and importance, and generate insightful findings.
  • Produce written reports of publishable quality and present the research in webinars and presentations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and clients from different cultures and countries, in person and remotely.
  • Develop an internal and external network of industry contacts to gather insights, identify trends, and collect information.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree demonstrating strong quantitative and analytic skills, ideally with a focus on finance.
  • Ability to think critically and develop thoughtful opinions by cutting through the data, extracting key patterns, and applying skepticism to the claims of industry participants.
  • Fluent English and good communication skills: writing, reading, and speaking.
  • Strong quantitative skills, significant experience using Excel, and comfort using large datasets and models.
  • Aptitude for graphically presenting data and writing clearly and concisely to distill and communicate complex topics to non-specialist audiences.
