The SEN Learning Support Assistant will work closely with Class Teachers and colleagues to develop an understanding of the different needs and learning styles of pupils within the classroom.

This is a full-time opportunity to support pupils with varied SEN and challenging behaviour on both a 1:1 basis and in small groups.

The role will involve supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, and PMLD, as well as those who are non-verbal and require Personal Care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop an understanding of the different needs and learning styles of pupils within the classroom
  • Support pupils with varied SEN and challenging behaviour on both a 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • Work closely with Class Teachers and colleagues to establish a supportive learning environment

Requirements:

  • A Supporting Teaching and Learning or Childcare-based Qualification (desired)
  • Experience of working with Children in Schools in the UK
  • An ability to build positive relationships and a rapport with pupils and staff
  • A resilient, proactive, and positive nature
  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child-related references that cover the last two years
