**Role Overview**

We are seeking a dedicated and caring SEN Teaching Assistant to join our client's Further Education team. The successful candidate will support students with autism in their educational and personal development, working both within the classroom and in the wider community.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Provide support to young people with autism in their educational and personal development.
  • Ensure a calm, structured, and supportive learning environment.
  • Support students in classroom activities as well as in community-based and outdoor settings.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and other professionals to deliver personalised learning experiences.
  • Maintain a strong awareness of safeguarding protocols and the safety of all students.

**Requirements**

  • A good level of general education, preferably with Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths.
  • A positive interest in working with young people on the autism spectrum.
  • An understanding of safeguarding responsibilities.
  • The ability to work calmly and professionally under pressure.
  • A caring and dedicated attitude towards the development of each student.
  • Willingness to work outdoors and in the wider community, supporting vocational and life skills activities.
