About the Role

Protocol Education is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a friendly, inclusive school in Sunderland.

This role is perfect for someone with a genuine passion for supporting students with SEN and helping them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties.
  • Assist the classroom teacher in creating a positive, inclusive environment that meets each student's unique needs.
  • Support students with personal, social, and emotional development, encouraging positive behavior and social interactions.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCO, and other professionals to implement individual learning plans and support strategies.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN, either in a school or similar setting.
  • Strong understanding of the challenges faced by SEN students and a commitment to providing patient, empathetic support.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • A proactive, flexible approach and a genuine passion for making a difference.
