Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a highly rated Primary School in Cambridge. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN) in Key Stage One.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will work closely with our experienced teaching staff to provide individualized support to children with SEN, promoting their academic and personal progress. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and caring individual to make a real difference in the lives of our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support students with a range of SEN, including those with physical, sensory, and learning disabilities
  • Work in Key Stage One (Year 1 and 2) to provide targeted support to children with SEN
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans for students with SEN
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEN, promoting their academic and personal progress
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting the well-being and self-esteem of all students
Requirements:
  • Qualification to degree level or equivalent experience
  • Experience working with children with SEN, either in a paid or voluntary capacity, or personal experience with SEN
  • Passion for working in Primary Education and a commitment to supporting children with SEN
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and communicate effectively with teaching staff, parents, and carers
  • Registered DBS or willingness to apply for one
