Data Centre Project Manager Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Director to oversee the construction of a state-of-the-art data centre facility.

This is a critical leadership role that requires strong project management skills, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of data centre construction processes.

  1. Develop and Implement Project Plans: Create comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation. Work closely with stakeholders to define project objectives and ensure alignment with company goals.
  2. Budgeting and Cost Management: Prepare detailed project budgets and forecasts, tracking expenses and managing costs throughout the construction process. Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and strategies to optimize project efficiency.
  3. Vendor and Contractor Management: Select and manage external vendors, contractors, and subcontractors involved in the construction project. Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and contractual agreements.
  4. Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify potential risks and challenges that may impact project delivery, developing proactive mitigation plans to address issues as they arise. Monitor project progress and performance, implementing corrective actions as needed to keep the project on track.
  5. Collaboration and Communication: Foster effective communication and collaboration among project team members, stakeholders, and external partners. Provide regular updates and reports on project status, milestones, and key metrics to senior management and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Degree: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience (10+ years) in project management, with a focus on large-scale construction projects, preferably in the data centre industry.
  • Skills: Strong technical knowledge of data centre infrastructure, including power systems, cooling systems, and networking equipment.
  • Certifications: PMP or other relevant project management certifications preferred.
  • Language: Fluency in English; proficiency in Swedish is a plus.
