About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Highway Maintenance Operative to join our team at Connect Plus Services. As a key member of our Incident Support Unit, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the M25 motorway network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend incidents and respond safely in accordance with agreed policies and procedures.
  • Conduct debris and safety patrols/inspections to identify and address potential hazards.
  • Carry out graffiti removal, carriageway repairs, and soft estate maintenance tasks.
  • Participate in street cleansing and litter picking removal activities.
  • Implement Emergency Traffic Management in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Use mobile communication devices to accurately record data and maintain business records.
  • Raise awareness of issues affecting network safety and report observations.
  • Participate in Winter Service rota as required.
  • Attend training courses to enhance skills and knowledge.
Working Arrangements

This role involves working on a 4-on 4-off shift pattern, including weekends, nights, and bank holidays. You will be required to travel around the M25 network and between depots, as well as participate in out-of-hours working to fulfill Winter Maintenance requirements.

Requirements
  • UK Driving Licence, minimum category C (LGV Class 2).
  • Driver Qualification Card.
  • CSCS Operative Card.
  • Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Highways Maintenance (includes License to Practice {LTP}).
  • ROLO Sector Scheme 18.
  • Unit 518 (formerly unit 13) Winter Service Operations and unit 580 (formerly unit 80) Snowplough/ V blade.
  • Vehicle Marshall.
  • 12AB Impact Protection Vehicle Courses (IPV).
  • Disc cutter/abrasive wheel.
