Pavement Management Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Pavement Asset Manager to join our team at Egis Road Operation Uk Ltd. As a Senior Pavement Engineer, you will be responsible for the management of Pavement Assets on the M25 road network. Your primary objective will be to develop, implement, and improve the asset management strategy to deliver maintenance and renewal activities to the pavements across the network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a long-term integrated asset management and value-adding approach for Pavements.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of an integrated Asset Management System.
  • Manage and maintain the Highways England Pavement Management System (HAPMS).
  • Collect and manage Highway inventory asset data using HD video and upload into the Asset management systems.
  • Identify and scope maintenance, renewal, and improvement projects to overcome pavement issues.
  • Assist with the management of technical inspections and machine surveys.
  • Provide input into the Production of AMFP for road traffic signs.
  • Support engineers to the highest degree possible.
  • Liaison with O&M team to assist on technical aspects of maintenance.
  • Production of the AMFP for pavements and continuous development/improvement of the 5 and 30-year programme.
  • Undertake and manage Inspections, lifecycle analysis, Whole Life Assessment, and Asset Strategy reviews.
  • Engage in the identification and implementation of innovation across the business.
  • Act in a way that demonstrates the values of CPS.
  • Contribute to continuously improve the Health and Safety culture across the contract.
  • Manage and react to unforeseen events, Watchman reports, and HAILS.

Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

  • Qualified to degree level or proven experience.
  • Progressing towards/membership of appropriate Professional Institute (e.g., ICE, CIHT, or equivalent).
  • Familiar with pavement design standards in accordance with the DMRB, MCHW.
  • General understanding of pavement operations, maintenance, and renewal, and RWSC.
  • Skilled in MS Office applications.
  • General understanding and exposure to real-time Asset databases.

Desirable:

  • Project Management and programming skills.
  • Knowledge of highway-related areas, including but not limited to Drainage and Geotechnical.
  • Understanding of the Commercial Impact resulting from a changed operational regime, resulting from external influences.

Personal Attributes:

  • Capable communicator and active team member.
  • Methodical and structured approach working individually or as part of a team.
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships within Connect Plus Services, the DBFO Co, Highways England, and other relevant key stakeholders.
