Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Highway Maintenance Operative to join our team at Connect Plus Services. As a key member of our Incident Support Unit, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the M25 motorway network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend incidents and respond to hazards in accordance with agreed policies and procedures.
  • Conduct debris and safety patrols to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Perform graffiti removal, carriageway repairs, and soft estate maintenance tasks.
  • Participate in street cleansing and litter picking activities.
  • Implement emergency traffic management plans to minimize disruptions.
  • Use mobile communication devices to record and report incidents and activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify and address issues affecting network safety.
  • Participate in winter service operations and attend training courses as required.
Requirements
  • UK driving license (minimum category C)
  • Driver Qualification Card
  • CSCS Operative Card
  • Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Highways Maintenance (includes License to Practice)
  • ROLO Sector Scheme 18
  • Unit 518 (formerly unit 13) Winter Service Operations and unit 580 (formerly unit 80) Snowplough/ V blade
  • Vehicle Marshall
  • 12AB Impact Protection Vehicle Courses (IPV)
  • Disc cutter/abrasive wheel
