Senior Data Modeling Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Modeller to join our dynamic team at Tokio Marine HCC. As a Senior Data Modeller, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex data models that support our business objectives. This role requires a deep understanding of data architecture, data integration, and data governance principles.
Key responsibilities include designing and developing data models that support business processes and decision-making, collaborating with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into data models, maintaining and updating existing data models to reflect changes in business requirements, ensuring data models are scalable, maintainable, and meet performance requirements, developing and enforcing data modelling standards and best practices, and working closely with IT and other departments to ensure data models are properly implemented and maintained.
The salary for this role is estimated to be £75,000-£90,000 per annum, depending on experience. The position offers a hybrid arrangement with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home. If you are looking for a challenging and rewarding role, please apply now
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data modelling, data architecture, or a related field.
- Previous commercial insurance experience, including Lloyd's or London Market.
- Experience working with and implementing ACORD standards and data models.
- Strong understanding of data modelling principles, including conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
- Proficiency in data modelling tools such as Erwin DM, PowerDesigner, or similar.
- Experience with data integration tools and techniques.
- Experience of designing data product models.
- Experience and knowledge of delivering innovative enterprise data management frameworks e.g. Data Mesh (or equivalent).
- Knowledge of on premise and cloud database management systems, including SQL Server, Oracle, Azure and Snowflake.
- Ability to work independently and as part of an agile team.
- Demonstrate a good understanding of Data / Information governance principles and familiarity with processes and policies.
- Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements such as GDPR, IFRS17, Solvency II.
