About the Job:

Care In My Home is seeking a skilled Practical Support Worker to support a client who enjoys DIY projects and requires practical assistance in their daily activities. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about building things, getting involved in projects, and isn't afraid of getting their hands dirty.

Key Responsibilities:

  • DIY Projects: Assist the client with building projects, 3D printing, assembling furniture, and other hands-on tasks. You will be the client's partner in bringing their ideas to life.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical assistance with laptop use, managing basic tech tasks, and other computer-related activities.
  • Household Tasks: Support with cleaning cars, ironing, housework, and maintaining the home. Your role will include a variety of practical tasks to ensure the client's environment is well-kept and functional.
  • Manual Tasks: Put up awnings, handle minor repairs, and assist with any other manual labor the client needs help with.
  • Listening and Following Instructions: Be attentive and responsive to the client's needs, following their instructions carefully to ensure tasks are completed to their satisfaction.

About You:

  • Practical Skills: You have a talent for DIY and enjoy working on various hands-on projects. You're comfortable using tools, assembling items, and taking on new challenges.
  • Good Communication: You possess excellent communication skills and can effectively interact with the client, understanding their needs and following their instructions.
  • Flexible and Adaptable: You're ready to handle a variety of tasks, from household chores to more complex DIY projects. You're someone who enjoys variety in your work and is always ready to help where needed.
  • Reliable and Trustworthy: You're dependable, punctual, and take pride in doing a good job. The client relies on you to be their partner in bringing their ideas to life, so attention to detail and a strong work ethic are essential.
