About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Painter and Decorator to join our Estates team as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Worker. This role will cover Port Talbot, Cardiff, and Brecon areas, requiring the successful candidate to carry out painting, decorating, and maintenance work in our schools and residential services. The ideal candidate will have experience in carpentry and plumbing, as well as the ability to support with other maintenance tasks.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Carry out responsive maintenance works, including carpentry, minor plumbing, and painting.
  • Paint, redecorate, and make good in occupied properties.
  • Perform tasks such as patching or snagging in new kitchens.
  • Conduct full wall and ceiling painting, addressing mould removal and repainting challenges.
  • Engage in external painting projects and analyse problems to identify appropriate tools and materials for repairs.
  • Write reports documenting problems and summarise actions taken.
  • Keep records of assignments and produce detailed work reports through the maintenance system.
  • Ensure all working activities are carried out in accordance with company health and safety systems and HSE legislation.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Painter.
  • Proficiency in various painting techniques.
  • Attention to detail and precision in completing tasks.
  • Ability to work efficiently in occupied properties.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and emergency on-call services.
  • Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Previous experience using field maintenance software.
  • CSCS Skilled Worker Card.
  • Full clean UK driving licence.
