Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategies to improve patient care, quality, and safety, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Manage Clinical Services: Oversee the management of nursing and allied health professionals, ensuring effective allocation of resources and optimal use of skills and expertise.
- Develop and Mentor Staff: Foster a culture of continuous professional development, providing training and support to nursing and allied health professionals to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Implement Positive Change: Drive innovation and improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance patient care and services, and implementing changes to achieve desired outcomes.
- Ensure Compliance: Ensure that all clinical services are delivered in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards, including CQC and regulatory requirements.
- Manage Complaints and Incidents: Investigate and resolve complaints and incidents, ensuring that all necessary actions are taken to prevent recurrence and improve services.
Requirements:
- Qualifications and Experience: NMC Registered Nurse or HCPC registration, degree in a related subject, and continued professional development.
- Leadership and Management Experience: Considerable experience in a leadership or management role in the acute or independent sector, with a proven track record of achieving results and improving patient care.
- Skills and Knowledge: In-depth awareness of the quality and governance agenda, proficient in conflict resolution strategies, and ability to plan, allocate, and evaluate work effectively.
