Nursing Clinical Lead

Maxxima’s Nursing Team is currently recruiting for an experienced Nursing Clinical Lead to join the team for a full-time role based in the Medway/Tonbridge area.
These roles will be working locally in the area providing Medway/Tonbridge Nursing services for a COVID Vaccination Project. To be successful in this role you MUST have experience of a similar role.
You MUST be qualified and able to deliver COVID Vaccinations with all of the relevant training for that
**Position**: Nursing Delivery Lead
**Location**: Medway/Tonbridge
**Hours**: 6 Day Service - 6-8 hours per day
**Duration**: Ongoing
**Pay Rate**: Up to £32 p/ hour umbrella rate
**Main responsibilities of this nursing vacancy**:
Job SummaryTo manage care processes for patients using multidisciplinary treatment plans/ protocols and provide nursing advice and care.
To deliver care in accordance with the regulators code of practice and organisational processes and procedures.
To maintain knowledge necessary to deliver service that us responsive to the changing needs of the service.
To manage and lead the nursing team, both in a team leader and shift leader role, working within a clinical governance framework, to ensure high clinical standards and facilitate the development of individual team members.
To participate in auditing effectiveness and incorporate finding into practice.

Roles and ResponsibilitiesTo maintain high standards of patient care and deliver timely and effective nursing practice to improve the patient experience.
To be involved in the governance processes to ensure that you can maintain a harm free care environment for all patients.
To treat patients and significant others with dignity, respect, and individuality. The care you give will be assessed, delivered, and evaluated using these principles.
To ensure patient safety at all times through comprehensive patient assessment and, ensuring escalation to appropriate person at times of concern.
To work alongside the multi-disciplinary team to ensure that all patients have an appropriate plan of care.
To work with colleagues to ensure that the working environment is clean and is of a high standard.
To work with patients to ascertain their views on our service, to feed this information back to senior staff.
To contribute to team meetings to ensure that continuous improvement occurs in the working environment.
Assist and advise unregistered staff in the delivery of patient care.
LeadershipTo provide leadership that promotes a patient focused approach to care.
To take a lead in specific areas of delegated responsibility within the team.
To assist Team Leaders in the development of others and deputise in their absence.
To act as a shift leader in the absence of senior staff nurses
Demonstrate an awareness of economical use of resources and contribute to overall control of the organization’s budget.
Clinical PracticeTo acquire competencies in basic nursing skills for designated area.
To be up to date on clinical practice
Be proactive in reviewing your own standards including documentation and implement change as appropriate.
To give advice regarding health promotion to your patient group.
To ensure patients’ dignity and individual needs are always met.
Be a strong patient advocate and foster a “no-harm” culture.
Organisational and Personal Development (including Clinical Governance)To be aware of current development s in nursing and keep updated, utilizing evidence-based practice.
To actively look for ways to improve the service both for patients and staff.
To ensure safety of patients, visitors and colleagues always and effectively manage risks.
To ensure evidence-based clinical practice is maintained in all areas.
To respond to incidents & complaints as they arise and report to appropriate personnel.
If appropriate participate in performance review and Personal Development Plan of junior staff through the competency appraisal tool.
To identify own ongoing development needs and actively work towards own professional development with support from senior staff.
Assist with clinical audit as requested and assist the team in the development and delivery of any resulting action plans.
CommunicationEnsure all communication, which may be complex, contentious, or sensitive, is undertaken in a responsive and inclusive manner, focusing on improvement and ways to move forward.
Ensure all communication is presented appropriately to the different recipients, according to levels of understanding, type of communication being imparted and possible barriers such as language, culture, understanding or physical or mental health conditions.
