Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Inventory Management Specialist to join our team at Squire's Garden Centres.

This role involves providing professional support to the EPOS Team, working closely with the Garden Centre Manager to help the business succeed.

Rota: Every Monday and Wednesday 08:30-13:00, Fridays 08:30-12:30 with alternate Saturdays 08:30-12:30

Main Duties:
  • Coordinate cyclical stock counting procedures, investigating issues and variances, liaising with shop floor departments and Goods-In department as necessary.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of stock adjustments and transfers to maintain stock file accuracy.
  • Review, investigate, and action relevant reports associated with stock accuracy in-line with company policy.
  • Process and action company price changes and price checks accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring all documentation is completed and filed.
  • Communicate effectively with all Garden Centre staff to ensure seamless operations.
  • Maintain a safe working environment to meet both company and legislative health and safety requirements.
  • Assist with other business-related activities/projects as required.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cashiering duties where necessary.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience working in a similar role within a retail environment is essential.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
  • The ideal candidate will be organised, self-disciplined, and possess a positive, collaborative attitude.
