We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Planning Specialist to join our Supply Chain team at the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS).

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to play a key role in our supply chain operations.

As a Procurement Planning Specialist, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day operational projects, including holding suppliers and distributors accountable to meeting stated performance KPIs, product and supplier issue resolution, mitigating risk due to obsolete inventory, promotional and allocation planning, seasonal forecasting, nominated line stock management, new line listings for newly negotiated items and/or product changes, and supplier management.

You will also be responsible for communicating operational product, supply, and service issues to relevant stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support the safe sourcing of great products and services
  2. Support the effective management of products through correct routes to market
  3. Control nominated lines within the distributors
  4. Range management of new lines/exit of old lines
  5. Ensure suppliers and distributors have the necessary product & volume information
  6. Manage accurate promotional forecasts
  7. Mitigate financial risk of obsolete inventory (waste)
  8. Provide volume analysis
  9. Supplier reviews
  10. Manage onboarding of new suppliers
  11. Manage end-to-end implementation from new line forms to communication of product switches
  12. Identify product rationalisation opportunities
  13. Advise on RTM options
  14. Support processing of price files

Requirements:

  1. Preferably 1-2 years supply chain/buying experience
  2. Working knowledge of end-to-end supply chain
  3. Strong customer service, supplier accountability, and issue resolution skills
  4. Ability to work in an environment with changing stakeholder needs, priorities, and timelines
  5. Educated to degree level (or equivalent)
  6. Excellent numeracy skills
  7. Well-organised and logical thinker
  8. Good communication skills
