We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Theatre Recovery Practitioner to join our team at George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust. As a key member of our perioperative care team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective care of patients undergoing surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain a safe and clean environment within the clinical area, adhering to the Trust's policies and guidelines.
- Deliver high-quality perioperative care based on a sound evidence base, providing skilled clinical assistance to the surgical, anaesthetic, and recovery teams.
- Ensure timely and accurate patient care documentation, respecting confidentiality.
- Identify opportunities to promote health and wellbeing of patients in our care, communicating effectively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver excellence in patient care.
- Contribute to the maintenance of adequate resources, stock levels, and equipment for patient use, adhering to current regulations.
- Ensure adequate skill mix is available to meet patient needs, escalating concerns to senior staff as necessary.
- Deputise for the Team Leader as required, demonstrating a positive attitude to continuing professional development.
- Registered or Newly qualified RGN / ODP.
- Willingness to undertake assessor qualification.
- A minimum of 12 months post-registration experience in Theatre setting (desirable).
