Job Title: Pharmacy Support Worker Team Leader

NHS Ayrshire and Arran is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Support Worker Team Leader to join our team. As a Pharmacy Support Worker Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of pharmacy support workers who provide a pharmaceutical service to care homes, care at home, and GP practices across Ayrshire & Arran.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of pharmacy support workers to provide a pharmaceutical service to care homes, care at home, and GP practices.
  • Work collaboratively with pharmacy technicians and pharmacists to develop work plans and practice placements for the pharmacy support workers.
  • Manage and coordinate the Pharmacy Support Worker team to ensure efficient and effective delivery of pharmacy services.
  • Provide guidance and support to pharmacy support workers to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the safe and effective delivery of pharmacy services.
Requirements:
  • Ability to operate computer systems.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work on own initiative, prioritise work, and meet deadlines.
  • Approachable and adaptable to frequent change.
  • Driving licence/Car ownership is essential for this role.

Please note that there is an option for this post to be an Annex 21, which means you would receive 75% of the salary until the management qualification required is completed. This qualification will be undertaken at college over a 12-week period.
