Job Title: Pharmacy Support Worker Team Leader

NHS Scotland is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Support Worker Team Leader to join our team in South Ayrshire. As a key member of our pharmacy services team, you will be responsible for leading a team of pharmacy support workers who provide pharmaceutical services to care homes, care at home, and GP practices across Ayrshire & Arran.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of pharmacy support workers to provide pharmaceutical services to care homes, care at home, and GP practices.
  • Work collaboratively with pharmacy technicians and pharmacists to develop work plans and practice placements for pharmacy support workers.
  • Manage and coordinate the pharmacy support worker team to ensure efficient and effective delivery of pharmaceutical services.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to undertake routine tasks and non-clinical medication reviews.
Requirements:
  • Ability to operate computer systems.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Approachable and adaptable to frequent change.
  • Able to work on own initiative, prioritise work, and meet deadlines.

Please note that this post may be subject to an Annex 21 arrangement, which means you would receive 75% of the salary until the management qualification required is completed. This qualification will be undertaken at college over a 12-week period.
