Job Description

We are recruiting for an Early Help Practitioner to work on a full-time basis with a client in Durham.

The hourly rate for this position is £15. As an Early Help Practitioner, you will be working with children, young people, and their families to provide direct help and interventions that contribute to positive change.

You will work in partnership with parents and carers to enable them to identify, acknowledge, and meet their own and their children's needs, develop life skills, make and sustain effective change, and build resilience.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering programmes to children, young people, parents, and carers to improve family relationships and parents' understanding of their responsibilities for their children's safety and well-being.
  • Supporting the improvement of family relationships through delivering programmes such as Chill Kids, Teen Zone, and Stay and Play.

Requirements for this role include:

  • A Level 3 qualification in a relevant children's services field, with a Level 4 degree desirable.
  • Previous experience within a similar children's service.
  • Great report writing skills.
  • Access to a car, as driving between two sites may be required.

This role would suit a newly qualified Social Worker looking to gain experience in early intervention and support services.

Please note that driving may be required for this position, so access to a car is essential.
