Job Overview

We are currently recruiting an experienced Teaching Assistant to work at a partnered school in Small Heath, Birmingham. This role is ideal for those with a passion for supporting students with physical and mental disabilities.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to students within the SEN building, including helping them navigate the school grounds. The ideal candidate will hold a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification and have experience working with children or adults with physical or mental disabilities.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year's experience working within schools in the UK (primary, secondary, or SEN)
  • Able to communicate effectively with classroom teachers, pupils, wider staff members, and parents/carers
  • Physically fit due to the nature of the role
  • Holds a level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs
  • Previous experience supporting SEND children on a small group or 1:1 basis

An estimated salary of £84-94 per day (inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay) makes this role an attractive opportunity for experienced Teaching Assistants looking to make a difference in the lives of students with special educational needs.
