Sightsavers is seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with international development programmatic data and a strong background in data analysis and statistics.

The successful candidate will be responsible for extracting meaningful information from data, producing reports and dashboards, and providing training and support to colleagues across the organisation.

The role requires a strong understanding of data quality and data cleaning practices, as well as experience with DHIS2 and data visualisation software such as Power BI.

The ideal candidate will have a graduate level qualification in a relevant field and a proven track record of working with organisational data management systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and production of quarterly and annual dashboards and data reports.
  • Conduct data analysis on Sightsavers projects.
  • Strengthen country office data reporting systems.
  • Work with country offices to map and improve project data flows.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Graduate level qualification in statistics, information systems, international development, public health or a related field.
  • Proven experience working with organisational data management systems and applying data analysis/statistical techniques to data.
  • Practical experience of good data quality and data cleaning practices.
  • Experience of capacity building and supporting staff in different contexts.
  • Understanding of international development issues and a commitment to equality of opportunity for disabled people.
  • Practical experience of DHIS2 for data collection, reporting and visualisation.
  • Experience of digital transformation, implementing new software/tools/working practices within an organisation.
  • Proficient in the use of Power BI, Tableau or other data visualisation software.
  • Experience of using Power Query for extraction, transformation, loading and connecting data from different data sources.
  • Fluent in English, with experience of writing reports and briefings in English.
