About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Centre Engineer to join our team at Nexus Careers Group Ltd. As a Data Centre Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining the operational efficiency and performance of our cutting-edge data centre.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and monitoring of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly to maintain system uptime and data integrity.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Support the installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment to ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and ensure all systems are operating efficiently and safely.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, incidents, and system performance to inform future maintenance and improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless data centre operations and achieve business objectives.
  • Maintain and repair AHU, FCU, Chiller, Compressors, BMS systems, Cooling towers, and other electrical and mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a similar role within a data centre or critical environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems, including AHU, FCU, Chiller, Compressors, BMS systems, and Cooling towers.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team to achieve business objectives.
  • Flexibility to work in a shift pattern if required to meet business needs.
  • Qualified Electrician with a Full UK passport and the right to work in the UK.
  • SC or DV clearance (desirable).
  • Experience working on AHU, FCU, Compressors, Chiller, Cooling towers, BMS systems, and HVAC HV/LV systems (desirable).
