About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Monitoring: Perform routine maintenance and monitoring of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Troubleshooting and Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to minimize downtime and ensure seamless data centre operations.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Installation and Testing: Support the installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment to ensure smooth integration into the data centre.
  • Inspections and Record-Keeping: Conduct regular inspections to ensure all systems are operating efficiently and safely, and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, incidents, and system performance.

Requirements
  • Technical Expertise: Proven experience in a similar role within a data centre or critical environment, with strong technical knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
  • Qualifications and Certifications: Relevant qualifications, such as City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, and a qualified electrician.
  • Problem-Solving and Communication Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and strong communication skills to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Flexibility to work in a shift pattern if required, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
