Exceptional Nursing Leader for Paediatric Surgery

About the Role
Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust is seeking an experienced nurse to fill a challenging leadership position in our paediatric surgery department. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional care to children and their families.
Job Summary
We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled nurse who can lead and develop a team of dedicated staff. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing a caseload of patients, assessing care needs, and implementing and evaluating care programs. They will also be responsible for developing link nurse roles, care pathways, PGD guidelines, and policies to support the continued excellence of care.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of nurses to deliver high-quality patient care
- Assess care needs and implement and evaluate care programs
- Develop and maintain clinical credibility in delivering general and specialist paediatric services
- Collaborate with ward managers, consultants, and nurse specialists to ensure seamless care delivery
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to support continuous improvement
Requirements
- RSCN/RN Child qualification
- Evidence of relevant post-registration professional development
- Teaching/assessing qualification
- Previous experience in a Band 5 post with experience of paediatric surgery
- Proven management experience
- Knowledge of current specialist clinical evidence-based practice
Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary for this position is £62,000-£82,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including access to ongoing training and development opportunities, flexible working arrangements, and a supportive work environment.
