Wickes is a dynamic and customer-focused organization that values innovation and teamwork. We're seeking a highly organized and motivated individual to join our store leadership team as a Duty Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the store in the absence of the Operations Manager, ensuring the smooth operation of the store, and providing exceptional customer service. Your key responsibilities will include:

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Lead the store in the absence of the Operations Manager, ensuring the store is trading legally and safely, and customers' needs are met.
* Support the wider management team in ensuring key control measures and security practices are managed in accordance with company procedures and policies.
* Complete store routines documents, ensuring the store is trading legally and safely, and customers' needs are met.
* Manage colleagues, including providing day-to-day supervision, motivation, and welfare, arranging staffing levels, and supporting recruitment, induction, and training & development.
* Work with the store leadership team to ensure the whole store operates effectively, supporting the achievement of sales and cost targets.
