We are excited to welcome a passionate and committed Fishkeeping Store Manager to our vibrant team at Maidenhead Aquatics.

Position Overview:

This role entails approximately 38 hours of work per week, focusing on the management and operation of our store.

The perfect candidate will demonstrate:

  • Passion for Aquatics: A strong interest in fishkeeping with practical experience in the field.
  • Customer Service Orientation: A dedication to providing outstanding service and the ability to convey fishkeeping expertise effectively.
  • Team Collaboration: A positive, hands-on individual who thrives in a collaborative environment and works towards common objectives.
  • Proactive Approach: Self-driven, organized, and eager to develop professionally within the role.
  • Leadership Experience: Previous management experience is preferred, along with retail knowledge. Familiarity with EPOS systems is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing daily store operations, including the care of diverse aquatic life and customer service.
  • Ensuring high standards of livestock care and store presentation.
  • Welcoming customers warmly and maintaining our exceptional customer service standards.
  • Effectively sharing your fishkeeping knowledge with customers of varying experience levels while promoting responsible practices.
  • Collaborating efficiently with team members in a dynamic retail setting.
  • Processing sales accurately and ensuring customer satisfaction upon departure.
  • Organizing merchandise on the sales floor, ensuring proper pricing and availability.
