Project Overview

The Capital Projects Development Manager is responsible for the development of building programs, communication of project requirements, and monitoring of project design, development, and construction for major capital projects. This position establishes and manages budgets and schedules for design and construction, coordinates consulting services, and communicates project design and construction activity with University Administration/clients, consultants, and contractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop building programs and communicate project requirements
  • Establish and manage budgets and schedules for design and construction
  • Coordinate consulting services, including contractor selection and management
  • Communicate project design and construction activity with stakeholders
  • Maintain project records and databases

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Building Science, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in project delivery of capital projects with value greater than $10 million
  • Proficiency with personal computer hardware and software, including spreadsheets, scheduling, and databases
  • Knowledge of National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) standards
