At CPP Investments, we seek a highly skilled Associate to support our Infrastructure team in making and managing principal investments, primarily in Europe and globally.

The successful candidate will work closely with the team to evaluate infrastructure investment opportunities, conduct research, develop recommendations, participate in the execution of investments, and monitor and manage existing investments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform due diligence on infrastructure investment opportunities, including reviewing financial models, past and projected financial performance, management team quality, investment merits and risks, and regulatory environment.
  • Develop and present investment recommendations to the investment committee.
  • Assist in the execution of investments, including liaising with investment partners and advisors.
  • Monitor and manage existing investments, including reviewing financial and operational performance and identifying performance improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of the team.

Requirements:

  • Commensurate experience in investment banking or private equity with an emphasis on infrastructure.
  • A minimum of an undergraduate degree and a track record of academic achievement.
  • Strong research, financial modeling, analytical, and valuation skills.
  • Professionalism, integrity, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with colleagues and external partners.
