Job Title: Logistics / Transport Supervisor

DC Personnel is seeking a skilled Transportation & Logistics Supervisor to oversee the logistics operations and ensure the efficient transportation of goods.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Coordinate and oversee transportation activities to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  2. Manage and supervise a team of around 10 staff and 7 vehicles, promoting a culture of safety and efficiency.
  3. Plan all vehicle routes effectively, utilizing data analysis and transportation planning expertise to optimize delivery routes.
  4. Communicate effectively with drivers and customers, ensuring seamless logistics operations.
  5. Monitor transportation costs and maintain budgetary compliance, identifying areas for cost reduction and process improvement.
Requirements:
  1. Proven experience in team management within the logistics industry, with a strong track record of leadership and supervision.
  2. Excellent organisational abilities, with a focus on time management, prioritisation, and attention to detail.
  3. Strong customer service skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  4. Transport planning experience, with a solid understanding of transportation modes, routes, and schedules.
  5. Flexibility with hours, with the ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  6. Effective communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  7. Proficient in Excel for data analysis, with the ability to interpret and present data insights to inform business decisions.
  8. Computer literacy for tracking and reporting purposes, with a strong understanding of logistics software and systems.
  9. Valid driving license with no more than 6 points, with a clean driving record.
