This opportunity is presented as remote working (3 days per week – some flexibility), with travel to our client's regional offices on an as/when basis. Overview and Context:

Organisational Development Specialist

The Organisational Development (OD) Specialist will require a robust background in leadership development across various levels of seniority. Drawing on your background as a leader yourself, you will work closely with internal people development consultants and business leaders to enhance and evolve our client's leadership development offerings. Our client has recently conducted a benchmarking exercise which has highlighted their desire and need to evolve their leadership programs to align with the strategic skills the business needs for both current and future success. This is an exciting opportunity to design leadership initiatives that will have a long-lasting impact on the organisation and the people within it. You will collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders to co-create solutions that address real leadership challenges and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Engage in co-development with business leaders, managers, and key stakeholders to review the findings from the internal and external benchmarking exercise and agree which insights should be taken forward to best further develop the capabilities of the leadership population as well as enhance the overall learner experience
  2. Create a time-bound plan of agreed short-, medium- and long-term recommendations which will be delivered via a work stream approach made up of internal people development consultants and leaders from across the business
  3. Facilitate collaborative working sessions to ensure the co-development process is inclusive and aligns with the strategic objectives of the business, the needs of different business areas and leadership levels within it
  4. Consider opportunities for interdependence and reinforcement across other key areas of the HR value chain
  5. Using your expertise in OD as well as your previous leadership experience, you will act as a coach and guide to the workstreams to ensure that the business collaboratively drives principles that create a learning environment that supports leaders in accessing a range of relevant development opportunities (formal and informal), engaging meaningfully with the experience and embedding their learnings in their behaviours
  6. Work in partnership with Sourcing Team and Supply Chain teams to ensure external partner capability and contributions meet the principles and requirements of the new approach
  7. Oversee and drive the delivery of the plan via the work stream leads and sit on the Project Steering Board to ensure smooth delivery of the project
