About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Leadership Expert to join our team at DNV. As a key member of our Finance department, you will play a crucial role in driving the implementation of our common aquaculture strategy.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Manage finance teams and operations within the Ocean Ecology Group, serving as the primary contact point for the external accountant in Iceland.
  2. Perform and manage monthly/quarterly reporting processes for relevant entities.
  3. Conduct periodic balance sheet reviews, focusing on accounts receivable, work in progress, accrued expenses, and cash and bank balances.
  4. Lead annual target-setting and quarterly forecasting processes for relevant entities.
  5. Ensure statutory and other reporting requirements for legal entities are met in collaboration with DNV GSS Finance.
  6. Support the Åkerblå Group Finance Director and International Director in M&A projects, including due diligence, post-merger integration, and synergies rationalization.
  7. Develop and implement robust business models, pricing models, and cost allocation models in collaboration with the Åkerblå Group Finance Director, International Director, and Ocean Ecology Leaders.
  8. Implement DNV Group governance principles concerning financial management, reporting, and review processes across Åkerblå international entities.
RequirementsQualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in finance or accountancy.
  • 5-8 years of experience as a Senior Financial Analyst, Senior Accountant, Controller, or Finance Manager.
  • High comfort level with Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, financial modeling, and drawing conclusions.
  • Experience with due diligence and integration-related activities, including M&A, auditing, or financial advisory.
  • Familiarity with DNV financial systems (Oracle, OneStream) and finance process improvement.
  • Experience in a start-up or scale-up environment.
  • PowerPoint expertise and presentation skills.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • A Chartered Accountant (or equivalent) designation or accounting firm experience would be highly beneficial.
  • Adequate understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards and financial concepts.
