Rheumatology Specialist Registrar

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Rheumatology Specialist Registrar to join our team at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will work closely with a team of Consultant Rheumatologists, Clinical Nurse Specialists, a GPVTS trainee and Staff nurses to provide high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigating and initiating medical management of patients with a variety of rheumatological conditions
- Patient assessment both in clinic and when reviewing ward-referrals
- Drug prescription in clinic, for ward patients and for patients attending the Day Case Unit
- Undertaking reviews of patients with rheumatological issues admitted under other medical teams (e-Purples)
- Participate in ward rounds with the Consultants
- Participate in routine blood monitoring of patients together with the GPVTS trainee

Requirements
- MBBS or equivalent
- GMC registration
- Basic Life Support
- Strong clinical and personal capability
- Ability to organise and manage outpatients priorities
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
- Excellent IT Skills
