About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Special Needs Assistant to join our dynamic secondary school in Haringey, North London. This role is initially until Christmas, serving as a trial period, with the potential to extend through the rest of the academic year based on performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support students with a range of special educational needs, including Autism and challenging behaviour.
  • Develop social skills with students in the classroom and during break times.
  • Assist with classroom behaviour management.
  • Work closely with students to provide strategies to navigate difficult situations.
Requirements
  • Reliable and engaging role model.
  • Prior experience working with children with special needs, particularly Autism.
  • Ability to integrate into the wider school team.
