About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to join our senior management team as Deputy Head of Contract Performance. This exciting opportunity will enable you to lead on effective and efficient management of the complete clinical pathway, service planning, development of business cases, service improvement, contracting, and workforce planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead on the development and implementation of clinical pathways to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient service delivery.
  • Collaborate with the Associate Director to achieve key performance targets, including waiting times and financial management.
  • Manage budgets effectively, ensuring breakeven on budgets at year-end and meeting cost improvement targets.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve clinical quality, infection control, and human resource management.
  • Manage complex organizational change projects and lead by example in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with a Master's level degree or equivalent level of relevant management experience. Essential qualifications and experience include:

  • Masters level degree or equivalent level of relevant management experience.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development.
  • Experience at a senior management level in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience of operational management in an acute clinical environment.
  • Experience of performance management.
  • Experience in financial management.

Desirable qualifications and experience include:

  • Postgraduate qualification in management.
  • Experience in capacity and service planning within an acute healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with ICT-based management and clinical information systems.
  • Experience of writing Service Level Agreements.
