About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Deputy Head of Contract Performance to join our senior management team at Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a crucial role in driving the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead on the effective and efficient management of the complete clinical pathway, ensuring that all patient services are delivered safely and meet high clinical standards.
  • Support the Associate Director in achieving identified key performance targets, including the delivery of specified levels of activity within national and local standards with regards to waiting times.
  • Manage Care Group budgets effectively, ensuring breakeven is achieved on budgets at year end, with all cost improvement targets met.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve clinical quality, particularly in relation to infection control measures.
  • Lead on the development of business cases and service improvement initiatives, working closely with clinicians and other stakeholders.
  • Manage complex organisational change projects, ensuring successful outcomes and minimal disruption to services.

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Masters level degree or equivalent level of relevant management experience
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development
  • Experience at a senior management level in a healthcare setting
  • Experience of operational management in an acute clinical environment
  • Experience of performance management
  • Experience in financial management

Additionally, we are looking for a candidate with:

  • Proven leadership skills
  • Excellent and robust interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to motivate others
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate a high degree of autonomy
  • Ability to prioritise own workload appropriately
  • Able to work as part of the multi-professional team
