Job Title: Autism Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as an Autism Support Specialist in East Leeds.

About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to make a real difference in the lives of students with Autism, providing one-to-one support in a specialist SEN school.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with Autism and/or learning difficulties, and be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support students with Autism on a one-to-one basis or in small groups, helping them to achieve their full potential.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment, ensuring that all students feel valued and supported.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with Autism and/or learning difficulties.
  • A high standard of classroom skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to collaborative working.
  • Team Teach training advantageous, but free training may be provided.
