This role will provide administrative support to the Haematology Admin service to ensure the delivery of best practice clinical care to Haematology patients across HHFT.
The service aims to support patients undergoing treatment, and this role will be pivotal in developing, managing, and maintaining a Haematology database.
Responsibilities will include booking appointments, data entry, and other administrative tasks as required.
Main Responsibilities
- To book and manage appointments, ensuring timely follow-up and clinic attendance.
- To provide typing and checking services for clinic letters.
- To manage incoming e-referrals, ensuring timely passage to the appropriate clinician.
- To participate in audits and performance reviews as required.
Qualifications
- GCSE passes in English and Maths or equivalent.
- European Computer driving license or a valid computer skills course.
Experience and Skills
- Proven track record of meeting deadlines and delivering performance.
- Admin and clerical experience, including computer data entry.
- Experience working in an NHS Admin environment.
Key Skills
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Able to work under pressure and manage a heavy workload.
